Fornalutx in Mallorca
Fornalutx in Mallorca is the most beautiful town in here. I have been taking a very long time to write this post. Fornalutx is a town that is second on my list of the most beautiful towns in Mallorca. On the first place is still Deia, haha! I don’t know how to convey to you what I would really like to describe, because this place is simply fabulous. Fornalutx is a very small town, situated between the Serra de Tramuntana mountains and the Soller valley.
This town is officially declared one of the most beautiful towns in ALL OF SPAIN. Many people describe this place as typically Majorcan. Is it really so? In my opinion it is difficult to find a real, local Mallorca at the moment. Here all the towns are touristic and commercialised, some more and some less. And Fornalutx belongs to the less commercialised one.
What to do in beautiful Fornalutx in Mallorca?
In fact, this tiny town offers only its beauty. It is here that you will find typical Majorcan architecture (obviously taken from the time of Arab rule). Here you can admire typical stone houses, narrow streets full of steps and charming nooks and crannies. Cats tangle under your feet, in the background you can hear the bustle of locals talking about everyday life in one of the nearby bars or cafes. There are quite a few drinkers here.
In high season, they come in very handy when visiting this place. Water is then at a premium. Fornalutx is an ideal place for those who love photography. There are plenty of beautiful shots here. Streets full of plants, flowers, vases. As Fornalutx is so close to the mountains, it is certain that you will find plenty of hiking trails. The town has great historical value. It is one of the oldest towns on Majorca.
Fornalutx is a town you must visit. It is here that you will see a unique Mallorca, simple, raw, real and authentic.
